(Common) Greenshank (Tringa nebularia) Perna-verde-comum

An over-wintering and passage migrant species here in Portugal, Greenshanks stalk slightly deeper water than Common Redshanks, chasing after small fish and insects.

Overall pale, brown wings, long yellowish green legs with a long, slightly up-curved bill, blue at the base, and a long, open ended and broad wedge along their back in flight.
