Spanish Imperial Eagle (Aquila adalberti) Águia-imperial-ibérica

This is an extremely rare species with only about 150 pairs worldwide though we are lucky enough to see Spanish Imperial Eagles on a relatively regular basis. Their numbers hereabouts seem to be increasing and in April 2013 I was lucky enough to photograph 5 in the same frame. Juveniles are more common in this area than adults, though on one occasion I had 4 adults overhead at the same time - who then put up over 200 Great Bustards ...
