Gadwall (Anas strepera) Frisada

A common and ubiquitous species, resident throughout the year, Gadwalls can often be mistaken for Mallards though they are slightly smaller and they have a small white speculum, especially noticeable in the males. They are also normally found as pairs of birds rather than the more obvious male/male/male/male/female groupings of Mallards.
